Third-generation Laguna Beach native
I am the natural choice for Laguna Beach City Council
As a third-generation Laguna native, I have dedicated my life to preserving and enhancing our town's unique character. I attended Laguna Beach Montessori, Top of the World Elementary, Community Learning Center (CLC), Thurston Middle School, and Laguna Beach High School. I graduated from UCLA and have since built a nonprofit management career focusing on land and ocean conservation.
I’ve built a career in environmental protection
I dedicated a decade to coastal conservation, beginning at Heal the Bay and continuing as Executive Director of the Laguna Canyon Foundation. I led efforts to protect California’s coastline and waterways, building community support for Laguna Canyon’s biodiversity. Currently, I serve as Executive Vice President and Chief Program Officer at Crystal Cove Conservancy.
I have the support of four sitting Laguna Beach City Council members, and other Orange County elected officials
My candidacy is backed by significant endorsements. I serve as a member of the OC Parks Commission with Supervisor Katrina Foley, who, along with Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris, supports my candidacy. I am also proud to have the backing of four of Laguna Beach's five City Council members: Mayor Sue Kempf, Mayor Pro Tem Alex Rounaghi, Bob Whalen, and Mark Orgill.
I believe in the critical balance between our economy, quality of life, and natural environment.
Through my career and volunteer work, I have demonstrated thoughtful, level-headed problem-solving skills, robust and strategic leadership, and extensive organizational management. As a single working mother, I understand the challenges local families face, from public safety concerns to the impact of visitors on our town. These qualities and my unwavering commitment to our community make me the natural choice to serve on the Laguna Beach City Council.
